Johnathan Howard
All-State player
at Jesuit High School. At Jesuit he was the leading scorer, ranked
second in rebounds, voted MVP, captain, and led his team to a 27-6
record. He was named to 4 All-tournament teams that year including
the nationally renowned Gonzaga Tournament in Washington D.C. featuring
some of the top ranked high school teams and players in the country.
He walked on at Georgetown University under Hall of Fame coach John
Thomson and practiced and played against many former and current
NBA players.
He
averaged 27pts/game in four summers of travel with the News Release
Christian Basketball Team that played against professional and national
teams in Europe. He later turned down contracts to play professionally
overseas.
As a coach, Johnathan compiled a 75-8 record in three years as Junior
Varsity and Freshman coach at Jesuit and overall has a five year
coaching record of 126-17 including seasons at St. Paul and Greenhill
school. Most recently he has led the 14U Dallas Hoyas to achieve
national recognition by winning many elite tournaments and placing
highly in national tournaments. He has also served as an assistant
coach on two top 15 nationally ranked youth basketball teams.
